Are you ready to find the career you want?

The Get Real Guide to Your Career is a full-service career planning program that is organized into five modules. Each module has a number of exercises and worksheets to help you make a plan that you can call your own. You can go through The Get Real Guide from cover to cover, or you can just use the modules or exercises that work best for you.

1. Taking inventory

Before you begin your search, it is imperative that you do a self-assessment. In this module, you will answer questions about who you are and how you got where you are today. When you have completed this module, you will be clear about who you are and what you have to offer.

2. Creating you

Now that you know who you are, this module will help you define what you want next. When you have completed this module, you will be able to communicate your professional objective.

3. Designing your target campaign

When you have completed the inventory and creating "you" modules, it is time to develop your target campaign. This module will help you determine how much time it will take, who can help you and how you will put your plan in place.

4. Getting out there

It's now time to start telling people what you want. This module will help you identify practical steps toward preparing to land the work you want—from targeting employers to acing the interview.

5. Take charge of your career

Don’t stop now. You’ve got to continuously think about what is next. This module will help you get off to a good start with your new opportunity. It will also help you put your life in perspective, which is very important to your well-being.
